Shin Mi-Suk

Choi Jin-Bong
Abstract
Objective: I got a good effect on one patient not by operation but by oriental medical methods.

Methods: I used acupuncture, moxibustion, physical therapy, herbal medication and exercise treatment.

Results: Most symptoms of knee joint(Rt. knee pain, tenderness, swelling, limping, locking, buckling, popping) were decreased and ROM(range of motion) of knee joint flexion was increased from 30¡Æto 135¡Æ(normal range).

Conclusion: This case showed oriental medicine enough could be applied on operation case. So oriental rehabilitation department must improve more effective treatment program for patients of traffic accidents not as a conservative way(sequela management) but as a active measure(treatment as a primary method).
